The Type 3 Engine

What would a wildfire fighting fleet be without a Type 3 Engine? Obadiah’s maintains one of the most common fire engines, a four-door, four-wheel drive beast (26,000 lbs GVWR) that can handle any terrain you throw at it. It’s an ideal vehicle for a squad-sized crew, as it requires at least three people to operate, and will find usage in just about any fire situation with its ability to hold over 500 gallons of water and pump more than 150 gallons per minute. The Type 3 Engine also holds up to 500 feet of 1 1/2″ hose and 500 feet of 1″ hose, allowing operators to get well away from the pump for more effective fire suppression.
