The 495 acre fire near Eightmile, Colorado is slowly being contained as firefighters made progress today building and strengthening lines, with the Incident Command Team calling the fire “ten percent contained.” However, as of today the weather is expected to be hotter and dryer, and a Red Flag Warning has been issued in Fremont County. A pre-evacuation notice is also still in place for homes in the Red Rocks subdivision, and updates on the incident can be found here.
